  1. The verb gustar can express different levels of liking: normal = "me gusta" and more intense = "me gusta mucho".
  2. The verb 'gustar' is conjugated in the third person singular or plural depending on the object that follows.
  3. Use the indirect object pronouns (me, te, le, nos, os, les) before the verb gustar .

Exceptions!

  1. You can use a mí, a tí, a él/ella, a nosotros, a vosotros, a ellos/ellas before the verb.

3. No gustar: A nosotros ... las casas grises de la ciudad.

A nosotros no nos gustan las casas grises de la ciudad.
(We don't like the grey houses in the city.)

4. No gustar: A ellas ... comer naranjas.

A ellas no les gusta comer naranjas.
(They don't like to eat oranges.)

5. No gustar: A ellos ... llevar ropa negra.

A ellos no les gusta llevar ropa negra.
(They don't like to wear black clothes.)

6. No gustar: A él ... los frutos rojos.

A él no le gustan los frutos rojos.
(He doesn't like red berries.)

7. Gustar: A tí ... todos los colores.

A tí te gustan todos los colores.
(You like all the colours.)

8. Gustar: A mí ... el color rosa.

A mí me gusta el color rosa.
(I like the colour pink.)

9. Gustar: A ella ... maquillarse.

A ella le gusta maquillarse.
(She likes putting on makeup.)

10. No gustar: A vosotros ... el color violeta.

A vosotros no os gusta el color violeta.
(You (plural) don't like the colour violet.)
