Verbos y pronombres reflexivos
Reflexive pronouns are used with reflexive verbs to indicate that the subject performs and receives the action.
- The personal pronoun is omitted when we use reflexive pronouns.
- The reflexive pronoun in Spanish is conjugated.
- If the verb is reflexive, we add the ending "-se" to the infinitive.
- With conjugated verb forms we place it in front of these forms, for example "me lavo".
Pronombre Personal | Pronombre Reflexivo | Lavarse | Levantarse |
---|---|---|---|
Yo | Me | Me lavo (I wash myself) | Me levanto (I get up) |
Tú | Te | Te lavas (You wash yourself) | Te levantas (You get up) |
Él/Ella/Usted | Se | Se lava (He washes himself) | Se levanta (He / She gets up) |
Nosotros/Nosotras | Nos | Nos lavamos (We wash ourselves) | Nos levantamos (We get up) |
Vosotros/Vosotras | Os | Os laváis (You wash yourselves) | Os levantáis (You (all) get up) |
