Reflexive pronouns are used with reflexive verbs to indicate that the subject performs and receives the action.

  1. The personal pronoun is omitted when we use reflexive pronouns.
  2. The reflexive pronoun in Spanish is conjugated.
  3. If the verb is reflexive, we add the ending "-se" to the infinitive.
  4. With conjugated verb forms we place it in front of these forms, for example "me lavo".

Exceptions!

  1. The pronoun "se" is the same for the third person singular and plural.

(He brushes his teeth.)

4. Nosotros ... después de hacer ejercicio.

Nosotros nos duchamos después de hacer ejercicio.
(We shower after exercising.)

5. Tú ... a las seis.

Tú te levantas a las seis.
(You get up at six.)

6. Yo ... las manos.

Yo me lavo las manos.
(I wash my hands.)

7. Tú ... con ropa cómoda.

Tú te vistes con ropa cómoda.
(You dress in comfortable clothes.)

8. Ellos ... a las diez de la noche.

Ellos se acuestan a las diez de la noche.
(They go to bed at ten at night.)

9. Vosotros ... la cara.

Vosotros os laváis la cara.
(You wash your face.)

10. Ellos ... muy pronto por la mañana.

Ellos se levantan muy pronto por la mañana.
(They get up very early in the morning.)
