Irregular comparatives (mejor, peor, mayor, menor)

Irregular comparatives allow for comparisons without 'más' or 'menos'. They are used with nouns and express quality, size, or age.

  1. Better and worse compare quality: 'Este safari es mejor.'
  2. Mayor and menor indicate size or age: 'El león es mayor.'
  3. They don't need 'más' or 'menos' before the adjective.

Exceptions!

  1. In comparisons, más is not used with these adjectives.
  2. 'Mayor' and 'menor' can indicate age and size.
  3. 'Mejor' and 'peor' compare quality or performance.
