- With the affirmative imperative we attach the indirect object pronoun "me, te, le, nos, os, les" to the verb.
- With the negative imperative, we place the indirect object before the verb.
- We form the imperative for "tú, usted, vosotros, ustedes."
Uso con | + Objeto indirecto | Ejemplo |
---|---|---|
Imperativo afirmativo | le les | Pídele ayuda a tu compañero para no cometer un error. (Ask him for help from your colleague to avoid making a mistake.) Pídales ayuda con organizar el evento, Señora Rodríguez. (Ask them for help with organising the event, Mrs Rodríguez.) |
Imperativo negativo | me nos | No me pidáis ayuda todos los días, por favor. (Do not ask me for help every day, please.) No nos pidan más ayuda, señoras. (Do not ask us for more help, ladies.) |
Exceptions!
- With the affirmative imperative, it is sometimes necessary to add an accent. Example: "Pídele".
