- The indirect object pronoun "me, te, le, nos, os, les" goes before the direct "me, te, lo, nos, os, los".
- Depending on the form of the verb, the pronouns go before or after it.
- With the negative imperative, pronouns go before the verb.
Uso | Objeto indirecto | Objeto directo | Ejemplo |
---|---|---|---|
(The leader told me it in time.) |
(I will complete the email and send it to you.) (After completing this email, I am going to send it to you.) |
(I am communicating it to you.) Te lo estoy comunicando. (To you I am communicating it.) |
(Complete the urgent tasks and give me them.) |
(I haven't told him yet.) No me los envíes. (Do not send them to me.) |
Exceptions!
- The pronouns "le" and "les" change to "se" when they are followed by "lo", "la", "los", and "las". Example: "No se lo digas a Amalia."
- Forms of infinitive, gerund, or imperative combined with pronouns often carry an accent.
