La alacena es un mueble tradicional en España. Tiene sus orígenes en la cultura árabe. El nombre tiene su origen de la palabra "al-sinah". Esta palabra significa armario o depósito. Se usa para guardar la comida y los utensilios de cocina. Este mueble es grande y alto. Normalmente está en las cocinas y en los comedores. También tiene puertas con cristales. Este mueble es muy común en las casas de algunas regiones como Andalucía y Castilla y León.

It is used to store food and kitchen utensils. This furniture is big and tall. It is usually found in the kitchens and dining rooms. It also has doors with glass.
