¿Cómo se pregunta y responde en España?

We learn to ask questions and respond politely. We use words like 'thank you', 'you're welcome', 'sorry' to use them in our questions.

Reading and listening exercise

Cuando saludas a alguien le preguntas: ¿cómo estás? o ¿qué tal?. Para preguntar sobre el precio de algo se usa ¿cuánto cuesta? o ¿cuánto es?. Para preguntar la hora se dice ¿qué hora es?. En situaciones formales se usa disculpa o perdón antes de preguntar. Por ejemplo: "Disculpa, ¿dónde está el baño?". Para agradecer se responde con gracias. Por ejemplo: "Muchas gracias."

Translation

When you greet someone, you ask: how are you? or what's up?. To ask about the price of something, you use how much does it cost? or how much is it?. To ask the time, you say what time is it?. In formal situations, you use excuse me or sorry before asking. For example, Excuse me, where is the bathroom?. To thank someone, you respond with thank you. For example: Thank you very much.
